The Story Behind the Ledge
The Ladybug on The Ledge was born during a particularly challenging season of my life. Determined to stay positive and faithful to God’s plan, I began looking for any sign of hope I could find.
One day, I saw a ladybug in my truck and felt it was a promise of better days ahead. When I arrived home, I learned that at around the same time, my youngest son had also seen a ladybug and spoken to it before coming inside. I knew then that this was a message.
Over the next few weeks, ladybugs continued to appear in my basement—places where only I would see them. I decided to place them on the window ledge where I look out while I am exercising. It became my sanctuary. Between sets, as I went to the window to catch my breath, those ladybugs were there to remind me that God was in control and that all things were working out in perfect timing.
Day after day, those ladybugs kept hope alive for me. I wrote this book with the prayer that Luna’s story will do the same for you and your children.
